BACHELOR PARTY
As the wedding nears, start getting the arrangements
made for the bachelor party. About a
month before the wedding, the Best Man
should obtain a list of relatives, friends, and
ushers that should be invited to the bachelor
party. If you want to make this a party that will
be a surprise, get this list from the Groom’s parents,
or the Bride. Several things should be remembered when
planning the bachelor party. First, the theme
should fit the Groom’s style.
If you are planning a surprise bachelor party,
you will need to make special arrangements
with the Bride or another close person to get
the Groom to the location where the party will
be. For the ultimate surprise, have the bachelor
party during the middle of the week when the
Groom will not be expecting it.
Invitations are not needed unless you are
dealing with a huge number of people.
Generally, the wedding party ushers, relatives,
and friends will make up the invitee list. Just be
sure as the Best Man that you invite all of the
important people that the Groom considers his
friends. After all, you want this to be a celebration
involving the people that mean the most
to him.
The food and drink are often the responsibility
of the Best Man when the bachelor party is
held in a rented hall or in someone’s home. It is
perfectly fine to ask the mother of Groom for a
few goodies. Additionally, make food yourself
and ask attendees to bring something with
them. Sometimes the bachelor party is held at a
hotel, which is a great idea if people plan to
drink. This way, you will be assured that no
one will be drinking and driving.
